Edit: Tumblr should have spoiler tags like teamliquid.
Hah. Too bad Archons and Carriers aren’t worth anything in real games. But that’s ok. I just needed a relevant picture.
I haven’t been using tumblr a lot lately. I just haven’t cared enough. I’m tired of the artsy fartsy “oh look what i just found on stumble upon. Aren’t these neat window shades? Or what about this picture of a waterfall with paint splattered over it?” that I get on my dashboard. Not that there’s anything WRONG with these things, they just aren’t up my alley.
So what IS up my alley? Well, geeky things. Part of why I haven’t been on tumblr much is that I’ve spent a lot of time surfing the teamliquid.net forums. “Yes, I would like to know your new build order for early muta harassment. Please, let me read.”
Here’s what I do on a typical non-work day is for me (minus boring details like eating):
-Text Kirstin
-Check Teamliquid
-Play some video game. I’m currently playing Blur, Link’s Awakening (on emulator), League of Legends (more on that later), Starcraft 2 (Vs. AI until the beta comes back), and I should pick up Final Fantasy XIII again.
-Errands if i have any, or feel like getting out of the house.
-Text Kirstin
-Check Teamliquid
-Talk to people in ventrilo about…anything really.
-Play some video game.
-After 10, watch Adult Swim and play some games.
-Possibly go hang out with Till/Joe at someones house.
And I am MORE than ok with that. But it just goes to show that what I’m getting out of tumblr is not meeting my demands. Not that I blame the people I follow. They post what interests them, which is good. But because my dashboard doesn’t bring me the same nerdy/geeky things i’m into, I’m less inclined to post things of that nature. I’ve checked a few times for interesting gamer blogs to follow, but haven’t been too successful. I’ll check again. Sometime. When I care enough and haven’t had a nagging headache for ~7 hours.
tl;dr-starcraft and D&D rule. A pictures of a purple tinted drinking glass in front of a blacklight does not.
