Every D&D video game ever has been bad.

Also, I finally finished my character. I have the same feeling one gets when you finally finish that big project that’s been looming over you. The one worth 20% of your grade. I have about 5k gold to spend on random shit I might want. Yay making characters at 11th level. Some might say that’s cheating, but we’ve played enough level 1 characters up to level 7 or 8, so we get the idea. It’ll be nice to start in the paragon tier for once. Plus we’ll have more powers and thus more options to make combat more dynamic.

Till, Joe, and I actually played a combat encounter last night with just our characters to see if the DM guide’s difficulty recommendations based on party size and level were agreeable (aka, that the recommended encounter wouldn’t kill us easily). We scraped by, which was perfect. The key to good DM’ing is to have the fear of losing/dying there, but without actually killing any PC’s. Oh, and good story telling.

Point is, I’m now itching to really get started. We might try to tomorrow if we can get everyone together. It can sometimes be difficult to get 6 people together on a short notice.

I wonder if there are any sweet table top rpg tumblrs. Totally gonna search for some.
